Every child is unique, and no two children develop and learn in exactly the same way or at the same pace. Our teachers use Creative Curriculum and  Ages and Stages Assessment System to gauge children’s progress and plan effective lessons based on development in four key areas—social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language.

The Creative Curriculum for infants and toddlers focuses on building relationships by fostering a sense of security and self-identity during the first 3 years of a child’s life. For preschoolers, The Creative Curriculum expands to cover literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts, technology, diversity, and physical and cognitive development while continuing to support social/emotional development.

The Creative Curriculum helps teachers develop effective lessons and activities based on the needs of the children they serve and a proven long-term educational plan. It also involves parents in planning for and appreciating their child’s growth and development. The Creative Curriculum helps children acquire social and learning skills at every stage of life, because it provides seamless transitions from the infant stage of development through the preschool years and into school-age enrichment.

Caterpillars -- 6 wk. ~ 7 mo.

Our Caterpillars are cared for in a nurturing environment that supports their physical and social development. Babies at Kids Kastle enjoy a playful atmosphere enhanced by tactile toys, mobiles, music and lots of TLC. We strongly feel parent communication is essential to providing quality infant care, this being said, we provide a daily information sheet for your child that you are asked to complete with any special needs for the day. Then at pick-up time, you will receive the completed report of your baby's care, including sleep, eating, diapering information and activity summary. Our infant room is designed to care for 12 to 15 babies. This small room size keep the environment quieter and more relaxing. We maintain a child to staff ratio of 5:1 for our Caterpillars which is essential in providing quality infant care. Your infant will remain in the Caterpillar room until they meet multiple milestones as rolling, crawling, and/ or scooting.
